#A_Natural_eco_Life

Most of our daily commodities are made by natural materials—we put pumpkins, sweet potatoes and various fruits in bamboo basketry; we carry fresh vegetables from garden with bamboo containers; we sweep the floor with palm fiber brooms. Almost all the food containers are made by pottery, glass, and stainless steel. Why do the Bhikkhunis discard those so-called

“convenient” plastic-made products? The main reason is to reduce the pollution. We use these natural-made commodities because they won’t pollute the land nor produce garbage. Even we have to throw away them someday, they won’t increase the burden to the land. The second reason is for its harmless to our health. Due to the laziness, human beings abuse plastic products in daily life and adsorb lots of toxin without any consciousness. Although many people consider it is troublesome to use these toxin-free eco commodities, we take such inconvenient but natural eco-life as a good training. It not only can enhance the quality of life, but also assist in our practice. It helps us to go back to a pure and simple life and with it we won’t lapse in inertia and can keep our energy high. Then we can stay in the energy field which is connecting to the nature.
